Happy Birthday America

Lady Liberty Saying, “Welcome to America”

Here we are after yesterday’s trip to the VA Hospital, for his first defib check up following  his surgery last week, just being lazy and enjoying some down time.

As we wait for the beautiful skyline here in Tampa to be lit up in celebration tonight, it would be easy to take this day for granted.

The Fourth of July is celebrated across this country in so many ways, by all manner of citizens, with one thing in common, we are all Americans.

With so much on this particular day to be thankful for personally, I am so grateful that we are able to live in a country where we are all free to make so many simple, everyday choices, that others around the world still cannot.

There are so many who are dying, even on this day, to have the freedoms that we enjoy.

So, as we eat our perfect picnics and wave our brilliant sparklers tonight, may we all  stop for a moment to say a little prayer for those who  have made this day possible for all of us.

Freedom is not free, let us always remember those who keep America free, and hold them in our hearts, minds and prayers.

Happy Birthday America.
